Job summary

Tessera is seeking a hardworking and talented CADD Operator III at Fort Stewart, GA with a can-do attitude. You will plan, layout, draw, and revise engineering drawings from references and discussions with engineers, using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and related software.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of progressively responsible CADD drafting experience
  • Associate degree in CADD, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, GIS, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS applications, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards and construction documentation
  • Ability to independently interpret design concepts and create complete drawing packages
  • Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and customers

Responsibilities

  • Plan, layout, draw, revise parts and assemblies from basic layouts, references, notes and discussions with engineers
  • Utilize CAD equipment and manual tools
  • Prepare complete production detail drawings; contribute design modifications
  • Prepare CADD drawings for construction from Architects/Engineers' data
  • Create custom maps using GIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD and Adobe Pro
  • Site verification and surveying as needed to assist engineers
  • Scans and prepares completed drawings for electronic transfer and archiving
  • Assist customers in obtaining copies of archived drawings
  • Maintain drawing vault files
  • Generate as-built drawings and CAD files
  • Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, Designers for QC

Tessera is seeking a hardworking and talented CADD Operator III with a can-do attitude.


Typical duties include but are not limited to:


  • Plans, layout, draw, revises part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes, and discussions with engineers, and standard data.

  • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or manual tools.

  • Completes layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices; or may develop complete major layouts of engineering drawings.

  • Prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.

  • Prepares CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) drawings for construction from sketches and information provided by Architects and Engineers.

  • Creates custom maps using GIS, current versions of MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Adobe Pro, and specialized software for support of installation units and tenants including utilities, services, locations and various other data that is required by the customer.

  • Some site verification and surveying may be required to assist engineers in measurements and verification of existing conditions prior to and during the design process.

  • Scans and prepare completed drawings for electronic transfer and archiving current versions.

  • Assist customers in obtaining copies of archived drawings, both electronic and hardcopy.

  • Maintains drawing vault files.

  • Generates \"as-built\" drawings and associated CADD files based on Contractor sketches as required.

  • Coordinates with Architects, Engineers, and Designers to verify correctness of work product prior to distribution to Customers for Quality Control.


Qualifications:


  • 5-8 progressively responsible CADD drafting experience required; Associate degree in CADD, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, GIS, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.specialized vocational, technical, or other formal training may be substituted in part for experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS applications, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong understanding of engineering drafting standards and construction documentation.

  • Ability to independently interpret design concepts and create complete drawing packages.

  • Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and customers.


Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.



  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.


Requirements:


  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.

  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
