Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services is seeking a CCBHC Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) to provide comprehensive addiction treatment services at the Merrionette Park office. The role includes assessments, counseling, education, and care coordination to support long-term recovery.

The ideal candidate holds a CADC credential, with 2,000–4,000 hours of supervised experience, and strong EHR skills. A bilingual English/Spanish background, and familiarity with Illinois CCBHC standards, are

Qualifications

• CADC credential in good standing is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience hours in addictions setting required.
• Familiar with ASAM criteria and MAR integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM level determination.
• Provide intensive outpatient and outpatient counseling sessions (IOP, individual, group, family).
• Educate clients and families about treatment options and recovery.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with standards.
• Coordinate MAR with medical staff for OUD treatment.
• Maintain timely EHR documentation per 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with treatment teams, external providers, and courts.
