Job summary

Louisiana State University is seeking a Cadaver Lab Assistant to support the Rathbone Human Anatomy and Cadaver Lab under the College of Human Sciences and Education. The role entails assisting with cadaver tissue preparation, dissection work, and routine lab sanitation in a fixed-term position.

The candidate will follow lab regulations for biohazard waste, participate in cleaning, and may perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience as allowed by LSU policies.
• Degree substitution permitted per LSU values; related experience may substitute for degree.
• Candidates with relevant experience may apply even without a degree if they meet the required years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of cadaver tissues for instructional purposes.
• Perform additional dissection work as directed.
• Participate in scheduled lab cleaning and sanitization.
• Properly handle and dispose bio-hazardous waste according to lab regulation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must pass mandatory background check and drug screening.
