Job summary

Renewal Falls Recovery Center in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADAC) to join our clinical team. You will provide direct counseling, participate in treatment planning, and deliver groups within a collaborative, patient-centered residential setting.

Qualifications

• Current CADC or IADC credential recognized in Iowa, or ability to meet credentialing requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, psychology, counseling, social services, addiction studies, or related field preferred.
• Relevant substance use disorder counseling experience preferred.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use disorder counseling and treatment services aligned with individualized treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, review, and update treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the treatment team.
• Facilitate evidence-based and recovery-oriented counseling groups.
• Coordinate with case management, nursing, and other treatment team members.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
