Job summary

Golden Touch in New York seeks an Associate CAD Graphic Artist / Textile to support a high-volume junior business. You will create production-ready graphics and CADs, manage multiple seasons and customers, and balance creativity with cost and technical execution.

The ideal candidate brings strong digital surface design expertise and expert Illustrator/Photoshop skills, with a keen eye for color, trend, and production realities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite in a high-volume studio or fashion company
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for digital surface design and CAD development
• Strong technical understanding of textile and apparel printing techniques and color/print trends
• Experience creating production-ready artwork with repeats, color separations, colorways, and tech packs
• Ability to translate seasonal color direction and customer requirements into commercially relevant artwork
• Experience with PLM systems and sending artwork to overseas mills/vendors (preferred)
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across Design, Sales, Product Development, and external vendors

Responsibilities

• Create original artwork for high-volume junior collections focusing on placement graphics, prints, and color fills
• Develop CADs in multiple colorways and sizes, recoloring artwork and modifying prints per customer needs
• Create production-ready patterns and artwork including florals, plaids, embroideries, screen prints, yarn dyes, trims, labels, and hangtags
• Prepare artwork for production with index/color separations for rotary and screen printing
• Produce precise, production-ready artwork, pitch sheets, and technical files for factory packs and mills
• Ensure artwork meets mill/vendor requirements in color, scale, repeat, and technical specs
• Assist with sending artwork files to overseas vendors and mills, ensuring accuracy
• Enter and maintain artwork data within the PLM system
• Collaborate with Apparel Design to research and interpret print, graphic, textile, and trend inspiration
• Work with Design, Sales, Product Development, and vendors to align artwork with product/production needs
• Apply cost-conscious approaches to graphic execution to meet price-point targets
• Research emerging print/color/textile trends relevant to junior/young women’s market
• Translate fashion trends into commercially relevant artwork and maintain an organized digital library
• Manage multiple projects across seasons and customers while meeting deadlines
• Support the team with revisions and additional graphic needs throughout development and production
