Job summary

Littelfuse, a global industrial technology company based in Chicago, Illinois, is seeking a CAD Technician to create, update, and maintain engineering drawings while supporting new product development.

You will collaborate with engineers, manage CAD documentation, and ensure version control and standards compliance. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or technical diploma, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and revising technical drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to create and complete drawings for new products and changes.
• Update drawings based on marked-up prints, revisions, and feedback.
• Support new product development by assisting design refinement and resolving gaps.
• Manage engineering documentation in the CAD system; upload drawings and track status.
• Maintain drawing templates and ensure compliance with standards and version control.
• Stay current with CAD enhancements and apply best practices to drawing quality.
• Act as CAD administrator within the engineering team.
• Balance multiple priorities and support several projects concurrently.
