Job summary

Guzman Engineering in Houston, TX is seeking a CAD Technician to support the electrical engineering team by producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit. • Plus ++ working understanding of Revit, including views, families, and basic BIM coordination concepts.
• Strong computer drafting skills, including view scaling, dimensioning, and annotation best practices.
• Demonstrated creativity in presenting technical information clearly through diagrams, layouts, and details.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all drawing work.
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow direction from engineers and project managers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and edit detailed electrical plans, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD.

• Organize and manage drawing files, revisions, and as built updates within the company's digital filing standards.
• Perform basic quality checks on drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards as instructed by engineers.

Work Authorization: US Citizen or US National, Legally authorized to work in US

Work Location

Location: Houston, TX 77070

Ability to commute: Houston, TX 77070 (required).

Ability to relocate: Willingness to relocate to Houston, TX 77070 before starting work (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $35,360 - $43,680 eligible for overtime, commensurate with experience.
