CAD Technician

The CAD Technician is responsible for providing accurate drawings to the project team and customers, facilitating precise execution and helping the company meet its production and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce accurate general arrangement and piping drawings (CAD) for fabrication, assembly, and customer communication, minimizing errors; create drawings from verbal instructions and field data.
  2. Develop 3D models.
  3. Create detailed drawings following company standards.
  4. Revise drawings promptly based on approved plan changes.
  5. Identify ways to reduce construction costs and add value.
  6. Maintain an active plan library.
  7. Prepare reports and necessary paperwork.
  8. Stay informed about industry developments and emerging technology.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent technical drafting certification.
  • Four to six years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of construction standards and terminology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for adapting to changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to plan and organize projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD system.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
