Job summary

Jordan Grant & Associates, a surveying and civil engineering company in Statesville, NC, is seeking an entry-level CAD Technician to join our team. You will be trained by experienced surveyors and engineers on state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities include using Carlson Software and AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare ALTA surveys, plats, maps, and construction layouts, and reviewing data to support project decisions. A high school diploma and good communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CAD procedures.
• Survey or civil CAD experience preferred but not required.
• Good interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Use Carlson Software and AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and to Jordan Grant standards.
• Produce project drawings including ALTA surveys, final plats, maps of dedication, plot plans, construction layout and construction staking.
• Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, including legal descriptions and easement/condo documents.
• Complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities and clients.
• Communicate with project managers, field crews and team leaders on workflow status.

CAD Technician (Entry Level)

Jordan Grant & Associates is a surveying and civil engineering company looking for a new CAD Technician (Entry Level) to join our team.

• Use Carlson Software, AutoCAD Civil 3D and related surveying software to complete assignments on time and to Jordan Grant standards.
• Produce project drawings including ALTA surveys, final plats, maps of dedication, plot plans, construction layout and construction staking.
• Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents and condo documents.
• Complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities and clients.
• Communicate with project managers, field crews and team leaders on workflow status.

What we are looking for

• High school diploma; familiarity with CAD procedures preferred.
