Job summary

Big Top Manufacturing in Perry, Florida, is seeking a CAD Technician to create precise 2D/3D drawings based on engineer designs. You will work with Sales, Production, and Engineering to update drawings and produce installation documents, while coordinating with vendors and customers.

This role requires a CAD certification or equivalent degree with 2+ years of CAD experience, and offers an on-site schedule with standard business hours, plus a full benefits package after 60 days.

Job description

A computer-aided design (CAD) technician uses CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and models based on designs provided by engineers, architects, or designers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards, while collaborating with project teams to produce construction and manufacturing plans. This position reports to the CAD Supervisor.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Interact with Sales, Production and Engineering Departments to modify drawings quickly and accurately during design and/or production processes.
• Support all departments through a variety of tasks, including proposal, foundation, clearance and engineered drawings.
• Prepare installation documents; coordinate document distribution to vendors, customers, and job sites.
• Assist customers with their inquiries via phone or email in a professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• CAD Certification or related degree; relevant experience may substitute for certification/education requirement.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 95% of the time.
• Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Overtime may be required.
