Overview

M&J Engineering is a leader in construction management and inspection, ITS, mechanical, electrical, wastewater, water supply, tunnel airport, port, marine/coastal, environmental engineering, and design-build services for both new infrastructure projects and renovations.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to independently read field notes and translate the information into AutoCAD.
• Create/modify drawings utilizing engineers’ markups of drawings and details as well as verbal instructions and sketches under minimum supervision.
• Must be capable of working effectively in a team setting while handling personal workload.
• Preparing designs from instructions and preliminary sketches
• Drafting and design water and sanitary sewer construction plans
• Drafting and design of roadway, storm, grading, and erosion control construction plans
• Updates to annexation, zoning, and utility mapping
• Working on CAD standards and templates
• Drafting and designing support using Civil 3D software

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year technical school or Associates or Bachelors Degree
• Civil 3D experience is a plus
• Proficient in AutoCAD, at least 7+ years of experience (Required)
• 5+ years of experience in Revit
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Windows
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to new challenges.
• Willingness to learn new software and techniques.
• Ability to work in a dynamic teamwork environment.
• Understand technical terminology of the engineering and construction industry.
