The Beaver Excavating Company is seeking a CAD Technician to join its Take-off/Drafting/Modeling team to create, modify, analyze, or optimize 2D and 3D designs using Civil CAD software. You will assist with bidding, prepare layout and GPS data, and support project managers in field and office settings.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of Civil CAD tools, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Technical school certification, an associate degree, or 2–3 years of related experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bentley MicroStation, AGTEK or Carlson.
• Knowledge of Civil CAD software is required.
• Strong time management, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain a positive work environment.

The CAD Technician will utilize specific CAD software and will work as part of the Take-off/Drafting/Modeling team to create, modify, analyze or optimize 2D and 3D designs.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assists with project bidding and planning
• Creates layout and machine control data for GPS equipment
• Works closely with and supports project managers and field personnel on projects
• Works with site and highway plan sets
• Creates progress reporting and finishes as-built drawings
• Other tasks as assigned

Skills & Requirements

• Knowledge of Civil CAD software required
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

Education & Experience

• Technical school certification, 2 Year Associates degree, or 2-3 years of position-related experience required
• Experience with one of the following required:
  • Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Trimble Business Center
  • Bentley MicroStation
  • AGTEK
  • Carlson
• Surveying or GPS experience a plus
• Field or office construction background a plus
