Job summary

Langan is seeking a CAD Support Specialist to join its Design Technologies Team. You will provide level‑one technical support for AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related engineering software, ensuring responsive service and smooth workflows for end users.

This role requires an associate degree in CAD or engineering technology, 3+ years of related experience, and strong communication skills. You will collaborate with engineering professionals and may travel between Langan offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD, Engineering Technology or similar.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Expert in AutoCAD drafting and drawing production.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software issues.
• Willingness to learn Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to travel between Langan's offices with a valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline, first-level technical support for AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related engineering technologies, focusing on customer service and responsiveness.
• Answer technical software questions via phone, messaging service, and email; troubleshoot issues and guide end-users to practical solutions.
• Familiar with civil engineering concepts, tasks, and workflows.
• Assist in developing and maintaining training materials, including presentations and e-learning content.
• Collaborate with Design Technology professionals to promote use of engineering technologies firm-wide.
• Document answers to common questions and solutions; update CAD Helpdesk Wiki and online resources.
• Remain current with industry advances and identify applicable technologies.
• Identify interesting projects, research findings, and present to Design Technologies team.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Summary

Langan is seeking a CAD Support Specialist to join its collaborative Design Technologies Team. This individual will serve a key function in providinglevel-one technical support in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering technologies.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top industry leadership in a continuous learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide frontline, first-level technical support for AutoCAD, Civil 3D,and related engineering technologies, with a focus on customer service and responsiveness.
• Must be readily available by phone, messaging service, and email to answer technical software questions, troubleshoot software issues, and guide end-users to practical solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Must be familiar with civil engineering concepts, tasks, and workflows;
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the training materials, including presentations and e-learning content;
• Work closely with the Design Technology professionals to guide others and promote the use of various engineering technologies Firm-wide;
• Document the answers to common technical support questions and solutions to recurring issues. Update and maintain the contents of the CAD Helpdesk Wiki and other online resources to ensure that information is accurate and easily accessible;
• Remain current with technological advances in the industry and be able to identify technologies that may be of interest to the Firm;
• Identify interesting projects, perform the necessary research, and present results or findings to other members of the Design Technologies team;
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software issues;
• Willingness to learn new technologies and related software such as Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, etc;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
• Ability to travel between Langan's offices with a valid driver's license in good standing.

Pay Range $28 - $39 USD

Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.
