Director of Recruitment Strategy / Lead Recruiter

Our well-established and very successful client is seeking a detailed orientated Drafter to work closely in a support role with a team of engineers to prepare, modify and organize engineering CAD drawings and bills of materials. Drawing complexity may range from copying simple designs initiated by others, through independent creation of models and fabrication documentation. Checking for accuracy and completeness (own and others work), updating and releasing to engineering documentation as needed.

Responsibilities will include:

• Under general supervision, creates and/or modifies drawings and bills of materials as directed by Engineering personnel and the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
• Maintain information system databases using engineering change control software modules.
• Maintain department computer files and manual logs that control documents in accordance with Department procedures.
• Implement and assure compliance to applicable quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Review completed projects in detail and prepare documents for Engineering review and project approval.
• Maintain product configurator structure and rules for new and existing products.
• Assist in identifying areas for department/system improvements and make recommendations.
• Assist in requisition of Drafting tools, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure all work is completed on schedule.
• Represent Drafting in meetings and on company/project teams.

Background profile:

• AS Degree or Technical High School degree or 2+ years in a document control role or a machining/technician role with exposure/training in CAD.
• Technical drawing CAD skills and knowledge of engineering documentation processes
• Ability to draft engineering and manufacturing drawings from sketches and marked up prints using proper drafting techniques and company procedures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred) using accepted technical drawing methods and practices (GD&T, weld symbols, etc.)
• Ability to recognize technical/design problems and recommend solutions.
• Ability to understand and use manufacturing/engineering ERP and PDM systems
• Written, verbal, and math skills
• Ability to work in a team based environment and have a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
