Job summary

Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is seeking an experienced CAD supervisor to lead the CAD Section within the Civil Engineering Drafting Division. You will supervise six CAD Technicians, provide technical guidance, and drive execution of capital projects designed by division staff engineers.

Qualifications

Knowledge of statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures that pertain to the CAD Section.
Ability to supervise and direct a diverse staff.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and others.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to supervise a multicultural workforce and promote equitable practices.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and support the CAD Section and six CAD Technicians.
Develop standard practices, policies, and procedures for unit operations.
Assist in planning and administration of CAD programs and projects.
Monitor unit performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure functions are completed on schedule and within budget.
