Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Project Specialist to support multi-disciplinary engineering and project execution. You will draft, revise, and maintain precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for capital projects and facility upgrades, while ensuring design documentation and handoffs meet regulatory and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline is required.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings and schematics for capital projects, facility upgrades, and maintenance work.
• Deploy tools to enable better troubleshooting for maintenance and shop floor employees, from search features to AI.
• Translate engineering concepts and field observations into clear CAD models and drawings (including P&IDs, floor plans, elevations, and assembly layouts).
• Support project schedules by coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams; track drawing deliverables and revisions.
• Review and redline drawings for accuracy, standards compliance, and constructability; ensure redline approval and proper document control.

Education

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline
