Job summary

Simon Property Group in Indianapolis is seeking a CAD Technician to prepare and maintain site and lease plans using AutoCAD, ensuring accurate square footage and building dimensions for development and leasing teams.

You will utilize AutoLISP tools and support automation of CAD processes while documenting project status in the CAD system and collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of business processes and technology systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and program errors.
• Basic understanding of AutoLISP and Office VBA.
• General knowledge of construction management processes.
• Excellent organizational, decision making, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares 2D drawings of site and lease plans from instructions to provide information on building configurations and leasing areas.
• Research information not provided to complete related projects and verify square footage and dimensions.
• Verify and calculate parking ratios, acreage, and field dimensions; ensure accuracy in CAD deliverables.
• Record and maintain status of projects in the CAD system and explore AutoLISP tool enhancements for automation.
