Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a CAD Operator/Designer with at least 5 years of shipyard production experience. You will ensure designs meet specs, prepare BOMs, and consult with vendors on project activities. Location: Amelia, LA.

The role requires AutoCAD/Ship Constructor proficiency, plus strong MS Excel/Word skills, and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of shipyard production experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Ship Constructor.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (MS Excel, MS Word) are required.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed drawings based on applicable specifications.
• Works order instructions under the supervision and direction of an Engineer.
• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups to ensure ease of manufacture and contractual specs.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated CAD Operator/Designer with at least 5 years of shipyard production experience. The candidate will ensure that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, prepare BOM (Bills of Material), and consult with vendors on project related activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of shipyard production experience
• Must have the knowledge of AutoCAD/Ship Constructor
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) is required
• Experience or training in using computer-aided design software is a plus

• Preforms supervised mark‑ups
