OLH Technical Services, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, seeks a CAD Operator in Newport, RI to support renovation and construction drawings for government and commercial projects.

You will review drawings, create and revise AutoCAD drawings, prepare rough estimates, and maintain electronic files and archives under the Project Engineer.

Qualificações

• Secret clearance required.
• AS in Drafting and Design preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• 3–5 years of drafting/design experience on renovation projects.
• Ability to create and modify drawings from engineering input and project requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Responsabilidades

• Attend project meetings to gather requirements for construction and facilities projects.
• Review existing drawings and project docs to understand conditions and support new drawings.
• Prepare conceptual drawings from project requirements and customer-provided information.
• Create and revise construction drawings in AutoCAD format.
• Research estimated material costs and prepare rough order of magnitude cost estimates.
• Present drawings in project meetings and incorporate revisions.
• Maintain electronic drawing files and final hard copies in the library.
• Review submittals against approved drawings and identify discrepancies.
• Participate in site visits and report discrepancies between conditions, submittals, and drawings.
• Track projects through completion and prepare status reports.
• Provide direct supervision of assigned personnel, as applicable.

Position Responsibilities:

• Attend project meetings to gather requirements and information concerning proposed construction and facilities projects.
• Review existing drawings and project documentation to understand existing conditions and support development of new project drawings.
• Prepare conceptual drawings using project requirements, existing conditions, and information provided by the customer.
• Create and revise construction drawings in a compatible AutoCAD format.
• Research estimated material costs and prepare and update rough order of magnitude cost estimates.
• Present drawings during project meetings and incorporate revisions based on direction.
• Maintain electronic drawing files in the facilities archive and hard copies of approved final drawings in the drawing library.
• Review construction product submittals against approved drawings and identify discrepancies or nonconforming items.
• Participate in site visits and notify the Project Engineer of discrepancies between observed conditions, approved submittals, and drawings.
• Track construction and facilities projects through completion and prepare project status reports.
• Provide direct supervision of assigned personnel, as applicable.

Position Requirements:

• Secret clearance required.
• Associate of Science degree in Drafting and Design from an accredited institution. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• Three to five years of relevant drafting or design experience working with design renovation projects utilizing current construction and building standards.
• Ability to create and modify drawings based on engineering input and project requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
