Job summary

Voltage Energy Group is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Mechanical Engineer to join our Timberlake, NC team onsite. You will design, develop, and detail mechanical systems and assemblies using CAD software, supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring design quality.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate designs, optimize for manufacturability and cost, and prepare complete documentation and change records for engineering drawings and revisions.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and ability to develop detailed 3D models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
  • Review specifications to determine design feasibility and requirements.
  • Update designs to address issues or incorporate improvements.
  • Perform mechanical calculations and basic analyses to validate designs.
  • Support prototype creation, testing, and verification.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate materials, tolerances, and mechanical performance.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and improve processes.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and assembly requirements.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and engineering change records.
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into updated models and drawings.

In this role, you will design, develop, and detail mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
