Job summary

Smeal SFA is seeking an Intern to support the Fire Specialty Vehicles division in Snyder, NE. The role involves general administrative tasks, CAD work, and drawing management within a full-time internship/co-op program.

You will assist in filing, messaging, mail handling, and documentation, plus creating parts drawings in AutoCAD/SolidWorks. Ideal candidates are organized, collaborative, and eager to learn in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.
• Team oriented and collaborative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create file folders and file corresponding documents.
• Retrieve and record messages from phone queues and distribute them.
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and oversee outgoing mail.
• Create/revise drawings, installations, assemblies, and parts in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Create and assign part numbers to new parts.
