Job summary

Knowles Corporation is seeking a CAD Engineer to support product design and development as well as production improvements. The role includes automating processes, training, and building 2D drawing packages for production, along with ordering tooling and fixtures.

The ideal candidate will create AutoCAD templates, lead continuous improvement projects, and generate production drawings. Candidates should have a 4-year engineering degree and hands-on drafting experience, with knowledge of AutoCAD

Qualifications

4-year degree in engineering, science, technology and at least 1 year of hands-on experience.
Product design and manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
Knowledge of AutoCAD commands, viewports, layers and drawing properties.
Understanding of Finite Element Analysis is a plus.
Experience with AutoCAD, AutoLisp, and CNC or BobCAD is preferred.
US work eligibility and ITAR documentation/materials compliance required.

Responsibilities

Support product design, development, and production improvement.
Create AutoCAD templates and commands using AutoLisp.
Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline CAD processes.
Create production drawings and support tooling purchases.
Generate artwork files for tooling design, laser drill patterns, and lithography masks.
Write and update procedures, project plans, and documentation.
Generate process routers using ORACLE.
Generate inspection specifications using UniPoint.
Mentor team on AutoCAD functions and drafting skills.
Assist with training of new team members.
Provide manufacturing support as needed.
