CAD Engineer

Role

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures
• Works with the management of top-level spacecraft assemblies in CAD, as well as create and maintain BOMs in the transfer to production
• Check and review engineering drawings
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a design role
• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with GD+T and engineering drawings
• A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on development

Bonus

• Expertise of SolidWorks and PDM Administration
• Experience with design of complex assemblies and components
• Experience in the design of spaceflight components and/or vacuum compatible systems
• Experience with surface modeling

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position. Base Salary $105,000 — $130,000 USD.
