Astranis invites a CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern for Spring 2027 to join our engineering team in Northern California. You will model spacecraft components, maintain the design library, and help document best practices for robust, efficient design.

Internship spans twelve weeks for students enrolled in college or university, with an hourly pay structure. Top performers may transition to full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in either mechanical, aerospace, or an equivalent technical degree like physics, applied math, or industrial design
• Has a passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on development
• Experience with SolidWorks
• Experience with GD+T and engineering drawings

CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern (Spring 2027)

As an intern, you will have an amazing opportunity to work on hard problems — we pride ourselves on giving everyone at Astranis a chance to do meaningful work on complex projects, no matter their seniority. Many past interns have designed and tested hardware/software that have gone to space, and many of them are now full-time employees at Astranis.

Internships at Astranis typically last for twelve weeks, and are hourly roles designed for individuals who are enrolled at a college or university. If you have already graduated from a four-year university, please apply to be an Associate Engineer.

Role

Requirements

The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
