Responsibilities:

The CAD Electrical Designer will prepare Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) design drawings to support complex facility equipment and system integrations.

• Utilize AutoCAD software to prepare drawings to project specifications.
• Coordinate work with others in discipline groups and other disciplines on the project.
• Prepare complete information for design details that can be distributed to other design or draft personnel for completion.
• Understand project scope as presented within a specific discipline.
• Ensure that designs are consistent with project technical requirements and scope.
• Work according to project specifications and discipline-related instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.
• Produce electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layout drawings.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related discipline or technical area with 3 to 5 years of progressive CAD experience, or a high school diploma with 10 years of relevant technical experience.
• Expert-level knowledge and skills in CAD electrical design.
• Experience with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to pass a drug screening examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or technical area.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical software.

Location/Work Arrangement:

• This position is on-site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
