Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking a Technical Drawing Administrator (TDA) based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The successful candidate will manage CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities include initiating new drawings, updating existing ones and managing large libraries of CAD files.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience with AutoCAD and must meet government clearance requirements, including eligibility for HSPD-12. This role involves close coordination with engineering and project management teams.

Clearance Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ability to obtain & maintain an HSPD-12.

Responsibilities

TheTechnical Drawing Administrator (TDA)isresponsibleforinitiatingnew drawings, updating, and incorporating changes based on As-Builts.Additionally, the TDA will managelarge libraries of CAD drawingsand perform document control (sign-out / sign-in/return).Theywill reporttotheServiceManager (SM).

• Update and manage existing drawing packages for use with multiple systems.

• Create andmodifydetailed and contract drawings, Process large format print requests, Work with engineers and modelersin order tomeet project deadlines.

• Comply withCompany drawing standards and symbols, create small to medium sized drawing packages, Configure large format plotters and batch plotting.

• Uses AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks

• Coordinates with Design Engineering, Project Management, and Client Stakeholder groups.

• Attends weekly coordination meetings forspecificprojects.

• Visits alteration and construction projects to ensure as-builts are consistent andaccurate.

• Manages the DrawingsLibrariescontrolling release and return requirements for drawings released to authorized personnel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED w/ a minimum of 4+ years of experience of AUTOCAD drawing experience,to includeinitiating new drawings, updating, and incorporating changes based on As-Builts.

• Experience in managingdrawing’slibrariescontrolling release and return requirements for drawings released to authorized personnel.
