Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a CAD Drafter to transform engineering intent into 3D models and released drawings for Starbase infrastructure. You will build 3D models and 2D drawings to support construction and revision of hardware for Starship operations, collaborating with engineers and multi-discipline teams.

The role requires strong CAD experience, NX proficiency, and attention to manufacturability, with the ability to follow SpaceX processes and deliver within project schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1+ years of experience creating architectural construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and details.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of mechanical and fluid ground systems in support of SpaceX Starship launch engineering and operations
• Work with multi-discipline project teams to develop 3D models to support launch engineering design and analyses
• Follow defined SpaceX processes to prepare and release new hardware assembly drawings, and revise existing drawings as requested by launch engineering
• Update existing designs and models to improve manufacturability
• Modify existing CAD models and create drawing revisions as required
