Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles in Ohio is seeking an entry-level CAD Drafting support to assist the design team with creating and updating drawings from markups and specifications. You will work with engineers to lay out components and resolve design issues, ensuring accuracy and adherence to CAD standards.

The role requires an eye for detail, good communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in engineering tech preferred.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• CAD/CAE experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications from markups using CAD.
• Collaborate with engineers to lay out components and resolve design problems.
• Review specifications and drawings to assess factors affecting designs.
• Modify designs to correct deficiencies and reduce production problems.
• Maintain BOMs and production drawings library for reference across departments.
• Ensure CAD standards are followed and updated.
• Prepare layouts and schematics to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
