Job summary

Basic Systems Inc is seeking a CAD drafter to complete drawings and reports, and to contribute to project documentation. You will draft layouts, dimensioning, and cross references in line with company standards.

You will coordinate with other disciplines and team members, prepare material take-offs and schedules, and travel to meetings or job sites as needed. A two-year technical associates degree with CAD instruction is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to use CAD tools to prepare models and drawings per project and company standards.
• Ability to read and interpret vendor and project drawings and documentation.
• Proficient in spreadsheets and word processing tasks.

Description

Summary:

Completes drafting assignments including drawings, dimensioning, material take-off, reports and simple layouts.

Reporting Structure:

Sr. Project Manager, Project Manager, Discipline Engineer, Discipline Designer, Higher Level Drafter.

Education/Experience:

A two-year technical associate’s degree in a Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Architectural discipline, featuring CAD instruction and computer skills.

Responsibilities:

• Complete drawings in accordance with Company and Customer Standards including all line work, dimensioning, cross references and CAD requirements.


• Coordinate the work with other discipline and project team members.


• Prepare material take-offs, lists and schedules as assigned to complete project documentation.


• Travel to project meetings or job sites to aid in project completion.

Qualifications:

• Ability to use Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools to prepare models and drawings according to Project Requirements, Customer’s Standards, and Company’s Standards.


• Ability to read and interpret Vendor and project drawings and documentation as required to complete assignments.


• Proficient in spreadsheets and word processing tasks.
