Job description

Compensation: $20–$28 per hour, based on your professional experience.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

We are currently looking for a skilled Steel Fabrication Drafter / CNC Programmer to join our Shreveport-based steel manufacturing and fabrication team, focusing on the execution of major structural steel assignments.

In this role, you will utilize structural and construction blueprints to generate the necessary fabrication data for our production team. We are seeking individuals with a background in structural steel or steel fabrication who possess a clear understanding of how technical designs are converted into tangible, manufactured parts.

Key Duties

• Analyze and comprehend structural, construction, and fabrication-level blueprints.
• Generate comprehensive fabrication schematics based on current project designs.
• Compile precise component and material inventories to support production workflows.
• Convert technical specifications and drawings into actionable data for our fabrication machinery to improve production efficiency.
• Operate and program CNC systems and other automated equipment as necessary to meet project goals.
• Verify that all material specifications, dimensions, and components are precise to help maintain high quality standards before production begins.
• Collaborate closely with production staff and project managers to resolve questions regarding fabrication requirements and drawing details.
• Keep all production records and technical drawings organized and updated throughout the drafting lifecycle.
