Job summary

Rockford Ball Screw Co. is seeking a Drafter to create, modify and maintain precise technical drawings for ball screws and related components.

You will work with Design Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure accuracy and proper documentation for production and customer specs. Responsibilities include producing detailed 2D/3D drawings, updating revisions, and supporting ECN/ECR workflows while maintaining drawing files and templates for consistency.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience or educational equivalent with CAD systems.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings of components and assemblies based on specs.
• Develop and revise manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
• Create and maintain assembly drawings and related documentation for manufacturing.
• Modify existing drawings to reflect approved design changes and customer needs.
• Support ECNs by updating drawings, revisions, and documentation per procedures.
• Review and incorporate ECRs into applicable drawings and records.
• Maintain drawing files and revision histories for current documentation.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to clarify drawing requirements and resolve discrepancies.
