Job summary

Air Rover, a unit of Western Protective Solutions, is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Tyler, Texas engineering team. You will create and maintain precise drawings for parts, assemblies, sheet metal, electrical layouts, and piping diagrams using SolidWorks.

Collaborate with Engineering and Production to support product development, manufacturing, and continuous improvement. Maintain BOMs, routings, and engineering change requests while developing manuals and work instructions.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks proficiency and CAD drafting experience required.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting or engineering technology.
• Experience with ERP systems; PDM experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed CAD drawings including parts, assemblies, sheet metal designs, electrical layouts, and piping diagrams.
• Interpret engineering designs, sketches, and specifications to develop accurate technical drawings.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), production routings, and engineering change requests (ECRs).
• Develop technical manuals, specification sheets, illustrated parts breakdowns, and work instructions.
• Verify drawing accuracy, dimensions, materials, and component relationships.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain accurate engineering records.

Our precision-engineered products support mission-critical applications across the aerospace, defense, and commercial industries.### Position OverviewAir Rover is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Engineering team in Tyler, Texas. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate technical drawings and engineering documentation using SolidWorks. Working closely with Engineering and Production, the CAD Drafter supports product development, manufacturing, and continuous improvement. This position reports directly to the Lead Engineer.### What Makes a Successful CandidateThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and enjoys turning engineering concepts into accurate, practical designs.
