Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a CAD Drafter to support fleet engineering initiatives by creating, maintaining, and managing vehicle and equipment designs using SolidWorks. You will develop new models and update drawings to reflect as-built configurations, while ensuring accurate engineering documentation and drawing packages.

You will administer SolidWorks PDM, control drawing revisions, and support configuration management across the asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM for document control.
• Proficient in creating, editing and maintaining engineering drawings and documentation.
• Experience with 3D modeling and prototyping.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain SolidWorks CAD models and drawings for fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Update designs to reflect final as-built configurations after assets enter service.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and drawing packages.
• Support development of Engineering Order Documentation for fleet assets.
• Maintain and manage the SolidWorks PDM database.
• Assist with configuration management and document accuracy throughout asset lifecycle.
• Design and model components to support fleet projects.
• Utilize 3D printing to create prototypes and replacement parts.
• Assist with testing and evaluation of new designs and concepts.
