TRIO is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join its Design Studio and Technical Team in Denver. The role centers on turning concepts into precise AutoCAD and Revit drawings for interior design projects, collaborating with designers and leadership to support projects from concept through completion.

The position emphasizes CAD standards development, training, and multi-project drafting across interior design and architectural contexts, with a strong attention to detail and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of professional CAD drafting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and maintain accurate AutoCAD & Revit drawings for interior design projects.
• Develop floor plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, finish plans, and other project-specific drawings.
• Translate sketches, redlines, markups, specifications, and design direction into accurate technical documentation.
• Update drawing sets throughout all phases of design and project development.
• Ensure drawings meet established standards for accuracy, layering, annotation, dimensions, and graphic consistency.
• Collaborate with design teams to understand project scope, design intent, and documentation requirements.
• Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, and technical documentation.
• Review drawings for completeness, coordination, and accuracy.
• Proactively identify drawing discrepancies, missing information, or potential technical issues.
• Manage drafting assignments across multiple projects while meeting project schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain organized project files, drawing archives, templates, and technical resources.
• Support the continued development and improvement of CAD/Revit standards, templates, and best practices.
• Collaborate with the Technical Project Lead and Design Studio Manager to develop, implement, and maintain relevant technical training programs and resources.

TRIO is looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our Design Studio and Technical Team.

This role is ideal for someone who loves the technical side of design and enjoys turning creative concepts into accurate, thoughtful, and well-executed drawings. As a CAD Drafter, you'll work closely with our design teams, Technical Project Lead and Design Studio leadership to support projects from concept through completion.

In addition to project drafting, you'll help strengthen our studio's technical capabilities by supporting CAD/Revit standards, resources, and training across the design team.

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of professional CAD drafting experience preferred.
• Interior design, architecture, residential, multifamily, hospitality, or commercial design experience is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD required.
• Working knowledge of Revit preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural and interior design drawings, dimensions, scales, annotations, and construction documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, redlines, design drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to receive feedback and quickly incorporate revisions.
