Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a CAD Drafter to support mechanical design and configuration management. You will maintain complex assemblies, ensure design intent is captured, and keep the BOM aligned with board decisions. You will work with design and sourcing to release components on schedule and perform interference studies.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail and familiarity with NX and Teamcenter; US person status is required due to export-controlled data.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAD in Siemens NX.
• Experience working in Siemens Teamcenter
• Proficient in mechanical drawings, ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Good mechanical intuition - excellent at understanding how components interact in larger mechanical systems
• Excellent attention to detail.
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.

WHY WE’RE HERE: We are looking for a CAD Drafter to support our mechanical design and configuration management efforts. This role keeps our engineering data accurate and release-ready — maintaining complex assemblies and their derivative configurations, turning engineering direction into clean drawings, and keeping the engineering Bill of Materials aligned with configuration management board decisions. You will work day to day with design engineering, performance engineering, and sourcing to make sure design intent is captured correctly and new components make it into production on schedule.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in aerospace industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant
• Experience in mechanical design of components from early conceptual phase into production
• Detailed assembly stackup development.
• Experience working in high volume manufacturing environment

US Salary Range

$99,000—$130,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
