Job summary

Suncoast Post-Tension Ltd, a Keller Company, near Houston, TX, is seeking a CAD Drafter/Detailer to design and place post-tensioned concrete drawings. Training offered for recent graduates or those with basic AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills; reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create drawing submittal schedules based on the customer\'s construction requirements and monitor progress to maintain schedule.
• Identify construction problems and implement solutions.
• Produce installation drawings and calculations according to contract documents.
• Apply revisions to placement drawings and calculations according to comments on approved drawings and/or structural revisions.
• Identify revisions that require contract change orders.
• Material takeoff for change order process.
• Issue placement drawings for construction prior to material fabrication.
• Material take off support and back up bar for fabrication.
• Outline via CAD: Post tension type, Cable Lengths, Cable abundance, Cable elongation, Strand Lists, Cable stressing directions and tendency, Structure size, Trench width, Cable Spacing, Detail markers, Reference dimensions, Construction joint or dead-end placement, Rebar use areas, Maintain electronic copies of submittals and correspondence
