Your Role:

This position can be located in the following locations: Orlando, FL - Austin, TX - San Antonio, TX.

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up, prepare and manage construction drawings.
• Prepare dimensional drawings, create, and modify base drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes.
• Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company standards.
• Prepare project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output.
• Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion.
• Follow CAD standards, whether the customer’s or Tetra Tech’s.
• Work with project teams on drawings that meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase).

Qualifications:

• Associate degree of completion in CAD drafting, related field from a technical trade school or training through a certified Autodesk Training Program in Civil 3D, plus at least five years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D for civil drawing and following client standards. Experience working with feature lines, grading objects, survey points, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks. Experience using Civil 3D labels is a must.
• Experience designing ADA curb ramps is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required.
• Excellent communications skills: Interpersonal, listening, oral and written.
• Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar software.
• Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
• Familiar with design parameters related to ADA design for roadways/curb ramps, street design, utilities and drainage.
• Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment.
• Able to efficiently schedule and manage time.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
• Must be able to achieve generally stated objectives and requirements.
