Job summary

Innovance, Inc. seeks a CAD drafter for Lou-Rich operations to generate CAD models and detailed drawings from sketches, support engineering with layouts and tolerances, and maintain engineering drawings for manufactured products.

Strong SolidWorks skills and knowledge of machining practices are essential. The role requires translating concepts into finished drawings, reviewing customer-provided specs, and collaborating with the engineering team on revisions and project milestones.

Qualifications

• One to two years’ college or trade school education in mechanical drawing or related areas is helpful.
• Minimum five years’ on-the-job experience.
• Model and drawing creation in SolidWorks.
• Review of customer supplied drawings and technical specs.
• Able to translate concepts into finished drawings with tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of detailed drawings.
• Utilizes computer aided drafting techniques to perform applicable detailing work.
• Creates customer approval drawings for new products and designs.
• Creates and maintains engineering drawings for manufactured products.
• Analyzes and implements customer revisions of current products and maintains and updates product masters.
