Job description

Who You Are:

You are self-motivated, detail oriented, energetic and collaborative with strong communication skills. You thrive in a rapidly changing environment, are curious and have the vision to help develop and build the brand aesthetic. You are a prolific CAD designer with a strong fashion sense, trend awareness, and industry knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for creating technical CADs, graphics, pattern repeats, placement prints in multiple colorways for both Mainline and Outlet channels.
• Collaborate with knit designers on graphic artworks and techniques for graphic knit category.
• Work closely with woven designers and fabric team on print/pattern development and execution.
• Research current trends in print/pattern and independently create exclusive designs with the Michael Kors aesthetic.
• Responsible for communicating seasonal color palette and any subsequent changes to mens design team. Organize and manage color library.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with design team and cross-functional partners.
• Create art packs, complete with rotary, color, and specification detail, to be used as communication tools with our partner mills and factories.
• Upload patterns into PLM system for cross functional use.

You’ll Need to Have:

• 3-4 years of experience in apparel print and graphic design
• Interest in Menswear Patterns, Surface design and Graphic Related products
• Strong understanding of Logo, branding, and printed communication
• Strong sense of color, scale, and balance
• Technical knowledge of print and embroidery techniques
• Experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Nedgraphics.
• Experience with Centric PLM Software or similar
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
