Job summary

CECO Environmental Corporation is seeking a Design Drafter III to develop product designs and fabrication drawing packages for thermal oxidizers and related systems. The role supports internal workflow and collaborates with Project Management and Engineering teams to translate concepts into engineering documents.

You will produce 3D parts, assemblies, and fabrication drawings, manage BOMs, and ensure drawings meet corporate drafting standards. Strong CAD and Inventor skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3–5 years of experience, or 8 years in mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor is required.
• Prior experience in Engineering design is helpful.
• Basic understanding of controls and instrumentation, and ability to take concept to design.

Responsibilities

• Receives, reviews, and interprets project requirements and design information to complete designs.
• Provides timely, accurate responses to inquiries.
• Collaborates with Project Engineers and Manufacturing Personnel to meet customer needs.
• Produces 3D parts, assemblies, layouts, BOMs, and prototypes using AutoDesk Inventor.
• Makes corrections to drawings per quality review process.
• Determines methods to create drawings from templates or updated CAD files.
• Reviews drawings from others to ensure alignment with standards.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
