Ascentec Engineering, LLC is seeking a CAD Designer II to expand design ownership and interact with customers while handling moderate technical problems. This onsite role in Tualatin, OR requires AutoCAD proficiency and growing 3D design capabilities in tooling and fixture design.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of CAD or mechanical design experience or equivalent education, with SolidWorks basics and strong attention to detail. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Basic SolidWorks skills to create simple parts and basic assemblies.
• 1–3 years CAD or mechanical design experience, or equivalent education.
• Ability to design simple to moderately complex multi-part assemblies.
• Understanding of PCB data.
• Ability to perform simple manufacturability checks.

Responsabilidades

• Independently produce accurate drawings and models for simple to moderately complex fixtures.
• Interpret engineering notes and communicate effectively with internal teams.
• Provide Production support and resolve minor design-related issues.
• Participate in internal design reviews.
• Assist with training Interns and Designer I team members.
• Maintain CAD libraries and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Organize, manage, and update design files according to established processes.
• Communicate directly with customers for drawing approvals, clarifications, and basic design questions.
