Job summary

Pioneer Cladding and Glazing Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to translate project scopes into shop and fabrication drawings for unitized curtain walls, entrances, punched windows, and related architectural components.

The role supports manufacturing and installation teams with CAD mentorship and collaboration across departments. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or an Engineering Technology/Design & Drafting degree with 5–7 years of fenestration drafting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Design & Drafting, or related field.
5+ years fenestration drafting experience or 7 years without degree
Proficient in interpreting architectural and structural drawings
Familiar with blueprint symbols across structure types
Able to review calculations and solve problems using basic math

Responsibilities

Analyze project specs and drawings to inform design decisions.
Develop basic to moderate CAD designs for assemblies and components.
Create shop drawings with embeds, elevations, plans, sections and details.
Produce fabrication drawings for assemblies and components.
Revise drawings based on redlines and feedback.
Mentor junior staff and coordinate with Production Control, Shop and Field teams
Minimal travel may be required.
