Job description

Job Description

We are currently seeking to hire a CAD Designer/Project Engineer. Responsibilities include designing initial CAD models, incorporating feedback from testing, and managing various prototype phases. Prototype designs are printed in 3D for concept visualization and undergo multi-phase testing. A desire to learn plastic injection molding and mold layout functions is required. The design must consider cavity notches such as draft, flow, wall thickness, gates, venting, etc., and also account for molding machine specifications and capacities.

Approved prototype designs will be programmed for CNC 3D surface machining. Knowledge of CNC programming and cutter path verification is necessary. Prototypes may be machined in various metals for proof of concept. Basic knowledge of plastics and plastic mold interactions is required, including resin analysis to determine properties like strength, geometry, and shrinkage.
