HTS Fabrication is seeking a CAD/Designer to join our team. Located in Lakeville, MN, this role involves using computer-based tools to design parts and assemblies, create production drawings, and manage BOMs for projects of various sizes. The responsibilities include originating, developing, or modifying product designs from conception to manufacturing documentation, ensuring quality, manufacturability, functionality, serviceability, and cost considerations.

Requirements:

• 2-year technical or associate degree in computer-aided drafting
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor
• Strong mechanical aptitude and 3D spatial awareness
• Familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing environments and materials
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with technical and non-technical personnel
• Problem-solving skills to address project issues and collaborate with teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace or similar software
• Self-motivated with initiative and ownership of work tasks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support sales with layout and design drawings for client approval
• Communicate with clients to address their needs and ideas
• Research parts and supplies relevant to projects
• Review project documentation for accuracy and compliance with standards
• Identify and communicate potential issues affecting timelines or budgets
• Generate production drawings for manufacturing and assembly
• Maintain material records and documentation
• Collaborate with design, business development, client services, graphics, and production teams
• Participate in design meetings and requirements gathering
