Job description

CAD Designer - Custom Valve Manufacturer

Location: Irwin, PA 15642 (East Pittsburgh)
Base pay range: $27.00/hr - $31.00/hr
Hourly: $27 - $31 / HR - Plenty of OT Available ($80,000 - $95,000 OTE)

Founded in 1899, we are a 100-employee foundry operating in a 60,000 sqft facility in Irwin, PA. Our primary operations are for valve manufacturing servicing the steel, pulp & paper, nuclear, chemical, oil & gas, marine, and consumer products industries. We are targeting to hire a CAD Designer to join a team of 11 (4 CAD Designers, Manager, R&D Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers) who can take custom designs and make the necessary changes in Creo to match customer specifications.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Prepare assembly & component drawings for sales orders / new product development using Creo
  • Maintain configurations, generate bill of materials and load components & assembly data into ERP
  • Prepare production & submittal packages for internal & external use
  • Perform drawing revisions & modifications
  • Work with assembly, manufacturing & quality assurance departments
What You Need For This Position
  • Associates Degree in Drafting is ideal (or something similar)
  • 2+ years of CAD design & product evaluation testing
  • 3D modeling software experience (ideally Creo / ProEngineer) but Solidworks / AutoCAD is fine
  • Manufacturing experience is ideal
