Job summary

CooperWorks Industries, part of the MAC Medical family, seeks a CAD Designer to create and maintain detailed drawings for commercial laminated products, casework, and countertops. You will work closely with sales, estimating, project management, and production to ensure designs reflect project requirements and manufacturing capabilities.

The role requires strong CAD skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings, production drawings, and assembly drawings for commercial laminated products and casework projects.
• Interpret architectural plans and design documents to develop accurate manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare layouts, elevations, sections, and detail drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Coordinate with sales, estimating, project management, and production teams to reflect project requirements in drawings.
• Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with specs.
• Revise drawings based on client comments and project changes.
• Generate BOMs, cut lists, and production documentation as required.
• Maintain drawing standards and revision control.
• Support project handoff meetings and provide technical support to production/installation teams.
• Ensure drawings meet project schedules and deadlines.
