Job summary

Cooperworks Industries is seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Designer to create detailed shop drawings, generate CNC programs, and support manufacturing of commercial casework, countertops, fixtures, millwork, and laminated products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong CAD drafting skills, CAM software experience, and the ability to collaborate with sales, PM, and production teams to move projects from design through fabrication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/CAD.
• 2–5 years in CAD/CAM design or related manufacturing.
• Experience creating shop drawings and CNC programs.
• Familiarity with architectural specs and construction docs.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop, production, and assembly drawings.
• Interpret architectural plans and project requirements.
• Develop CNC-ready programs and nesting layouts.
• Generate BOMs, cut lists, and material utilization reports.
• Collaborate with sales, estimating, PM, and production.
• Review drawings and CNC programs for accuracy and updates.
