Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC in Janesville, WI is seeking a CAD Designer to design and document plant process systems using 3D modeling tools across mechanical, fire protection, plumbing and electrical scopes.

You will develop PFDs, P&IDs, and 3D piping in AutoCAD Plant 3D, create 3D models in Revit and SolidWorks, and ensure detailed mechanical drawings for safe, compliant isotope production facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related discipline with 3–5 years of design experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with drafting and design standards.
• Experience designing systems from the ground up, including responsibility for basic design considerations.
• Detail oriented with the ability to communicate design rationale to designers and engineers.
• Proficiency with the AutoCAD Plant 3D toolset.
• Experience in pipe design.
• Experience with Navisworks Manage for model coordination and clash detection.

Responsibilities

• Design and document plant process systems using 3D modeling tools across mechanical, fire protection, plumbing and electrical scopes.
• Create and modify PFDs, P&IDs, and 3D plant piping in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Create and modify 3D models and drawings for structural and architectural design in Revit.
• Create and modify process skids in SolidWorks.
• Develop the design and drafting of complex piping drawings from baseline information.
• Modify 3D models of tanks, vessels, piping, and equipment, and generate detailed mechanical drawings.
• Design systems for safe, efficient operation of the facility, equipment, and controls for medical isotopes and fissile solutions.
• Coordinate with engineers to translate feedback into model updates.
• Perform field verifications to capture as-built conditions.
