Job Summary: A CAD Designer creates detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics using specialized software. CAD Operators are crucial in engineering accurate drawings essential for designing and producing fire systems.

Job Responsibilities:

1. CAD Design and Drafting: Use CAD software, primarily 2D AutoCAD, to create and modify detailed technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and plans for fire safety systems, including fire alarm and suppression systems, emergency evacuation plans, and related projects.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with fire safety engineers, designers, and project managers to understand requirements and translate concepts into CAD designs.
3. Documentation: Maintain organized records of CAD drawings, revisions, and updates. Complete component data sheets, technical manuals, certifications, and other contract data as needed, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for compliance.
4. Quality Control: Review CAD drawings to identify errors or discrepancies, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
5. Design Optimization: Suggest improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of fire safety designs, aiming for innovative solutions.
6. Compliance: Stay updated with fire safety codes and standards to ensure designs meet safety guidelines and regulations, which is a plus but not mandatory.
7. Other duties as assigned.
