Job summary

optiBPO is seeking a detail-oriented Drafting/Estimator for a remote evening-shift role with a leading U.S. office furniture manufacturer. You will consult with dealers, create floor plans and 3D renderings, and recommend products that fit client spaces.

Ideal candidates have space planning experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and proficiency with Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Design degree preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience.
• High level of attention to detail required.
• Basic mathematical skills expected.
• Space planning experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with CET, SketchUp and AutoCAD preferred but not required.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Consult with furniture dealers on upcoming projects and assess requirements, budget, timeline, workstation count and space planning needs.
• Create floor plans and 3D renderings using CET, SketchUp and AutoCAD.
• Offer product recommendations to dealers based on space and needs.
• Prepare quotes with applicable discounts and update them promptly as needed.
• Collaborate with sales, service and purchasing to ensure accurate project creation and ordering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with furniture dealers on their upcoming projects and ask diagnostic questions to determine their client’s requirements, budget, timeline, workstation count, and space planning needs.
• Use CET, SketchUp, and AutoCAD to create floor plans and 3D renderings.
• Use independent judgment to makerecommendations to dealers on which product would bebest suited for their office space.
• Accurately apply applicable discounts where needed and create quotes for client approval.
• Update quotes and make necessary revisions promptly to ensure the project is accurate and complete.
• As appropriate, use the design process and communications with dealers to increase Clear Design product sales on opportunities.
• Apply feedback from the sales manager and other team members to use products that contribute to achieving and growing margin targets.
• Collaborate with customer service and purchasing team to ensure each project is created and ordered correctly.
